Teaching Gratitude Through Everyday Moments
16 February 2026
Gratitude is not something we can instruct into children. It is something they absorb through watching us, through the language we use, and through the rhythms of our day.
A simple "Alhamdulillah" when the rain falls, a moment of pause before a meal, a thank-you note after a kind gesture — these micro-moments accumulate into something profound.
In our home, we keep a small gratitude jar. Every evening, each family member writes one thing they are thankful for. On Fridays, we read them aloud together. It has become our favourite weekly tradition.
